Baby Shower {Part 2}

 There were so many sweet ladies who I love that came to show their sweet support
& shower us with gifts & love.
We are forever grateful!

 I had lots of sweet helpers :)

Baby Shower {part 1}

We are so blessed with a loving & supportive church home.
It has truly been one of the best things about where we live.
We have made many forever friends & always feel surrounded by people who truly love us
& our kids like their own.

The weekend before Easter,
six precious ladies who I've grown very close to hosted a beautiful baby shower for us.
It was truly a blessing & I left feeling so incredibly loved! We are beyond grateful to be surrounded by so much support during this time.

The Cute Table & Yummy Food

The Sweet Hostesses
Catrina, Jenny, Sandy, myself, Andrea {it was at her pretty house & she was the master-mind behind all of it!}, Brooke, and Cheri

 Special Guest :)
I hated that that David's mom could not be there, as did she, but David's dad had {a successful} knee replacement surgery just three days before, so she was unable to make it...
but she was there in spirit! :)

We have a name!

It's been 8 months in the making, but we officially have a name decided on & are thrilled to share it with you!

We are not necessarily ones who have to have a significant meaning behind the names we choose,
 but just want them to "feel right."
We've come to learn that boy names are hard.
Or at least the were for us.
We wanted it to be a good fitting name for a baby & little boy,
but also one that could seem like a nice & distinguished name for a grown man.
And when we would say it with the rest of the names in our growing family,
we wanted it to "fit."
And then you have to think about the initials.
Also with a last name like Snow, there are just some names that don't work!
That's a lot to consider, people!

We threw out many, many, many possiblities through the months,
and ended up coming back around to one from the very beginning.

We love it so much, and love getting to call our sweet boy by name!

{Emma is not quite on board yet, but she is not really a fan of anything besides "Baby Brother"
And that's ok with me, she can call him Baby Brother as long as she would like...
although I'm sure Hudson will have a different opinion about that one of these days! ;)}

Only 5 more weeks
{or possibly less considering the number of contractions I'm already having}
until we get to meet our sweet bundle of joy!!

32 Weeks

I'm an awful blogger.
And I unfortunately am not holding out hope that it will get much better come May. Yikes!
I will keep on, though...even if I get behind! ;)

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant
 {tomorrow will be 33 week, so I'm barley getting a post in!}
I love this picture for many reasons. Of course, Emma showing off her belly, but also because it makes me look smaller than I really do look, or at least smaller than I feel!

As I sit here & type baby boy is doing some pretty awesome dance moves in my belly.
He is ALL over the place & I wouldn't trade it for the world. It is just the best feeling ever!
Emma was really active when I was carrying her as well, it makes me so anxious to know what his little personality will be like!

Everything is still going & growing right on track.
I think it's starting to sink in that in LESS than two months we will be a family of FOUR!
I just can't believe that we are getting that close.

I'm still feeling really good.
Of course it's getting a little more uncomfortable & difficult to move & do like I would like to, and my lovely friend heartburn is starting to visit more often.
Actually, I hate calling it heartburn, because that name/description does not seem to fit the pill-stuck-in-my-throat feeling that it actually is. Lovely. I told David I think it would feel better if I could stretch out my neck with some gold necklaces like women in Africa. :) Ok, maybe not!

I am carrying this little guy a lot lower than I did Emma. Pants fit very differently for one, but also just feels heavier & lower.

Still no name, or not to officially announce, anyways!
We've {obviously} had a hard time make that tough decision. I think we have one, but until we are 100% sure, we are keeping it to ourselves.

Emma seems to be getting excited about Baby Brother's arrival. She has never been too attached to her baby dolls, but has become more so to one in particular. Melts my heart. She has taken the pink clothes off of it, so it can be a boy, and often has it tucked under her little arm. She will talk to it & for it {in the cutest, funniest little voice}, and do all sorts of things with it that we have talked about we will do with real baby brother. :) It's sweet to watch & I know she is going to be such a good big sister.

The nursery is coming along & I really hoping that by the end of the month it will be pretty much completed! I will be excited to share pictures with you as soon as it is!

Here's a little San Fran baby bump to show you.
{Many more SF pics coming soon!}

We are just beyond thankful for a healthy & happy pregnancy!
We feel truly blessed.

28 weeks

Baby boy is growing by the day!

I love that Emma wanted to show her belly too!
She seems to be getting excited about her baby brother. :)

It's amazing to me how much lower I am carrying this baby compared to Emma.
I don't know if it's that it's a boy or just the 2nd baby.
Other than that, I don't feel like there is too much different with this pregnancy than with Emma's.

Every thing from last weeks doctors appointment went great. So thankful for a healthy baby!
Only thing was that my sweet doctor called it my "blossoming visit."
Ha! I knew I had really grown the past month, and I was thankful she was not hard on me about it.
I remember having one of those visits with Emma, and thankful it was just a one time thing.
Hoping for the same this time around. :)

Baby Brother

 Oh, sweet baby boy. I'm sorry I haven't been good at updating every week like I did with your big sister! It's not for a lack of love, that's for sure!

This is my belly at  24 weeks.
 Today I am 28 weeks. I'll post a new picture SOON! I feel like you've really grown a lot in the past few weeks. {Or maybe it's just me that's doing the growing...ha!}

I'm still feeling good!
 I go tomorrow for my 28 week check up,
and that is my LAST monthly visit...that is so hard to believe!!
I will start going every two weeks, till the last month, then each week. It is flying by!
Last time I went to the doctor I had my glucose test, and passed! But they did find I was anemic, so have been taking Iron & it seems to be helping. Still have moments of being a little weak, or feeling somewhat puny, but really nothing too bad.
I LOVE feeling all the sweet flips & kicks.
They are just the best, I don't think I could ever get tired of that part of pregnancy!
I have been craving salads like crazy!!
And I have a big sweet tooth in the evenings.
But a fresh yummy salad sounds good pretty much any time!
Sweet baby brother does not have a name quite yet. We are still working on it! Boy names are HARD!
For a while Emma thought it should be "Harry Do." We have no idea where she came up with that.
I think she said it to be silly one day & it got a laugh, so it just kinda stuck.
Now she says your name WILL be Baby Brother. :)

Nursery Update:
The walls are painted & ready. We are going with a "vintage western/cowboy" theme.
I don't want it to be theme overload, but just with little cowboy/western touches here & there.
Here's a little peek at the fabrics we are using, and a few fun antique store finds for the room.
I'm really excited about it!
Hopefully soon it will really start coming together & I'll have more to show you! :)

I will really try to post an updated picture & baby update tomorrow after my appointment!

Baby update

I feel like I need to apologize to my unborn baby boy! I have done a terrible job of documenting this pregnancy, compared to how I did with Emma. Sorry, son! I'm gonna try to do better. At least a boy probably won't care about those kinds of things one day, right?! ;)

One reason I am SO. FAR. BEHIND. on blogging is last time I when in to post, it said I was out of room & needed to buy more storage {for the 2nd time, thank you blogger}. So, was going to do just that today, and now it's letting me upload. We will see how long that lasts!

Ok...on to baby things!

As I said, we are so thrilled to be having a boy!
Of course we are MOST thankful that this sweet baby is healthy & growing just like he needs to be. Everything looked perfect, and for that I just feel like we have been overwhelmingly blessed.
David saw the little boy parts on the sono before myself, or the technician. That's exactly how it happened with Emma. Maybe he has a secret calling to be a sonogram technician. ;)
We were both thrilled beyond words. It's always been my dream to have a boy & a girl. And I still kinda just feel in disbelief that our awesome God has given me this huge blessing. I would have been just as excited if it was another little girl, but I am so excited about a boy for SO many reasons as well.

We got some sweet pictures of our little one, this one being my favorite.
It is hanging on the refrigerator, and I love seeing that sweet profile each time I walk by.

We had fun revealing the gender to my family with lots of fun blue balloons, unfortunately they had lost their helium by the time they got to open the box, but it was still a fun moment!

  • I have been feeling great, and really have no complaints. Another HUGE blessing!
  • I feel like I am in that stage where I have a good amount of energy, no aches or pains, and am feeling sweet tiny kicks & flutters. It's just the best.
  • I haven't really had any cravings or aversions. Of course, Mexican food always sounds good, but that's really not necessary a pregnancy thing! ha! I really do think I could eat it every meal when I'm pregnant though, and not get tired of it!
  • I am officially 19 1/2 weeks right now, and CAN NOT believe that I am half-way there. Especially if this little one comes a week early like his sister...I've got lots to do!
  • As soon as the business of the holidays is over, I've really got to get busy getting ready for this little one!
  • No, we do not have a name yet. Boy names are hard, people. But we are working on it, and hopefully getting closer.
This picture was probably taken about a month ago, and I've obviously grown since then.
I'll try to take a new one this weekend & post it soon!
