Emma's Party-the decor

 Today my baby girl is THREE. I am still in denial that that is possible. 3. That is just so big!
I take Emma for her three-year well check on Wednesday, and will do her big three year post after I have her stats. It's a big week for our girl, turning three & starting preschool! Lots of posting coming up, maybe that will help me get back into the swing of blogging!

We had a fun weekend of celebrating our sweet girl. This year we celebrated Cowgirl-style & had a blast! She was SO EXCITED about her Cowgirl party and even the smallest details thrilled her, which of course made my day!

Here's a look at all the party details!
 {And of course you can visit Snowbird Design if you would like to purchase this party pack...it will be available for purchase SOON!}

 The invitation.
I am just in love with my new shaped cards and this cute & sassy cowgirl silhouette. It was kinda my inspiration & helped everything come together.

Water Bottle Labels
{I used my new waterproof labels, which are ah-mazing, by the way!}

I just can't get enough of striped paper straws. And this color combination went along perfectly for the party. I ordered them from this Etsy shop.

The table-I was so pleased with how it all turned out!
 I had made the burlap banners last year for our church's Fall Festival and they worked perfectly as my backdrop anchor.
I reused a frayed fabric banner from Emma's party last year and made a new one.
Then I bought three colors of yarn & made a cute & funky pom-pom garland.
The three mixed together perfectly!
  LOVE these sweet spoons, from this Etsy shop.

 I designed & ordered the cute shaped stickers to put on favor boxes. Everyone was able to fill a box with cookies to take home.
 I decided to go easy with cookies, ice cream & milk.
We had six different yummy kinds of cookies.
Along with the cookies, each kid got a cowboy hat to take home.
I got them from Oriental Trading and embellished the girls with fabric flowers & the boys with sheriff badges.

I am SO GLAD I started this tradition on Emma's first birthday!
Each year I buy a book that goes with the theme of her party & have all the guests write a little message to her inside the front cover. I also put in a copy of her invitation & a picture of her from her party. I love the idea of her having all of these books on her shelf to show her kids one day.
 And if you have little girls-this book is so cute. Adorable illustrations & a cute little story!

Cute little stick horses my sweet dad cut out for me, and I painted. The kids had fun running riding these.

I started to have a photo booth with fun props, but had a different idea & am so glad I went this direction. I painted little cowgirl & cowboy cutouts for the kids to stick their faces through. I just love them! Now I've got to figure out what do with them, because I just can stand to get rid of them! If anyone wants to use them for a party, let me know...I would love to loan them out! :)

The kids loved the strawberry & chocolate milk!
I had bought Starbucks frappuccino's, unfortunately ;) had to drink them, then reused them instead of buying the expensive bottles on party supply websites.

I had cute cowgirl & cowboy coloring pages.

And last by definitely not least-my sweet little cowgirl!!
 Our precious little family!

Monkey see, Monkey do, Emma is turning TWO...party details

{invitation}
check out party pack info over at Snowbird Design... and look tomorrow for a special birthday offer!

I kinda like planning parties...have I mentioned that before? ;)
When thinking about Emma's 2nd birthday, it of course had to be adorable, but also all about something she loves. Monkey's was the obvious choice. She LOVES monkeys & it was after all the first animal sound she made!

Favor & Sign in table...
We had all kinds of pink & yellow treats to fill a box with your on monkey mix on your way out the door...or to snack on during the party! :)
We also had a Curious George book for everyone to sign as a keepsake for Emma.

 Food table
 We decided to have a mid-morning party & had tons of breakfast food...donut pops, banana muffins, banana biscotti, monkey bread, pigs in a blanket, a breakfast casserole, and lots of fruit. YUM!

Banner & Drink Bar
We had all kinds of breakfast drinks for our guests to enjoy & after my first time to use paper straws I can officially say I'm sold...now I want them in every color!

Activity stations
{top to bottom}
*I love these ruffled streamers I made using this tutorial * We buried barrel of monkey monkeys & money in the sandbox for the kids to dig up...it was a big hit, especially with the older kids!
*I repainted the bean bag toss board from Emma's 1st birthday, and my sweet mom made banana bean bags for the kids to toss the monkey a banana. Then each kid got to take home a banana bean bag!
*We had stations set up for the kids to draw with chalk & color monkey pictures.

It was such a fun party, and everything turned out exactly as I had hoped. More pictures from the party coming up next...

4th of July...the food!

Mom & I had fun planning the meal for our July 4th celebration. We love to eat. And plan parties. But mostly eat. :)
 The owner of Snowbird Design was nice enough to let us use her Independence Party Pack for the occasion as well! ;)

Here's a few shots of the event!

 Mom made this yummy PW Recipe. She never disappoints {mom or the Pioneer Woman!}

And PW helped me make the Perfect Iced Coffee...and yes, it was perfect!

This fruity pink lemonade was so good & SO pretty! This would be the perfect thing for a baby shower!

YUM!

 And finally...time to enjoy!

Swap Party

 I had a small Swap/Valentines Party last week & had a BLAST! Swap Parties seem to be becoming an up & coming "thing," AND something on my 29 before 29 list...so I decided combining that with a Valentine's making party would be great fun!

I sent out an invitation on pingg...a new favorite thing. I love that is has the evite feel, but the freedom to upload my own design.

{A little shout-out to my design blog, Snowbird Design for the invitations & other signs below...;)}

When everyone arrived, the put out their items in the correct place & drew a number.

Once everyone was there, we all enjoyed some sweet treats, made a few valentines for our loves & "shopped."

We went in order of how we drew our numbers & chose two things at a time. I think we went through the rotation about 3 times & the things they were not picked up were delivered to Goodwill the next morning!

We all had such a great time, enjoyed talking, eating and walking away with our Valentines made & a few new things for us or our homes!

I can't wait to have another one!

Better than Black Friday...

Back in my ACU days I worked with a precious girl, Leah. Her & her sweet family are going through the process to adopt a sweet baby. In order to raise money, they are hosting an online ADOPTION AUCTION that is now up and running!

I had the honor of donating a Christmas Card for the auction from Snowbird Designs!
Go check out all the cute products & maybe do a little Christmas shopping! It's for a great cause.

pictures!

Here's a just a few pictures from the last few days/weeks. :)

Yesterday I helped host a baby shower for my good friend Jenny from church. We had lots of fun & it all turned out so cute!
{You can see more pictures & the invitation on my design blog-Snowbird Designs}

Emma loves this book. She finds the mirror on the last page just so she can stare at the cute baby & give her lots of slobbery kisses! :)

We've had a little playmate the past {almost} two weeks. A friend of mine from my old school had sweet Presley & had to go back to school for the last two weeks. So I've been keeping her & these two girls have kept me busy! {Hence the lack of blogging!}

This girl LOVES her watermelon!

My little laundry helper

These are currenly brightening up my kitchen! Aren't the beautiful?! I got them at Central Market for the shower. It's probably a very good thing that it takes 30ish minutes to get to the nearest store, otherwise I'm afriad my grocery budget might get spent on fresh flowers each week!!!

Have a great week!
