Christmas Eve in Abilene

We woke up on Christmas Eve, loaded up & drove to Abilene.
The last 30 minutes or so of the drive, we got to enjoy seeing some beautiful, HUGE snowflakes.
We arrived at mom & dads & the festivities began!

Mom & Dad had cooked a delicious brunch with lots of new recipes, they were all SO good!
After breakfast, a quick clothes change for E, & it was time for the annual Christmas Eve hunt.
These 4 sweet cousins were so cute siting on the couch waiting for their instructions from Honey.
Emma was so excited to be with her cousins who she loves!!
Honey explains the hunt "rules" for the year...
...and their off!
In each room of the house, they had to each find the designated Santa that was hidden in that room.
They all really got into it & did a great job helping each other find their Santa.
Once their mission was complete, it was back to the couch for the traditional
close-your-eyes-hold-out-your-hands wait for their treats.
Emma was so funny trying to do exactly what the boys were doing.
Love this picture of her holding our her hands!

They all got their yearly Christmas PJ's, some bubble bath & a new game!
Emma's Richard Scarry's Busytown game is so cute!
 Reading a book with Honey
Then we snapped a few cute pics of Honey & Bud & their four grands. CUTE!
Emma got an afternoon nap as the rest of us just enjoyed some time together
& got ready for more family to come over that evening.
My granddad have the four kids remote control cars, which were a huge hit!

Here's the fam playing our traditional bingo game.
We have a $5 gift exchange that always gets fun!
And the kids had a bingo game of their own to play!
After the other guests left, it was PJ's & off to bed for four tired & very excited little ones.

What a fun day!
If you hadn't picked up on it by now, we have LOTS of fun holiday traditions in my family.
{and their are even more that I didn't mention, if you can believe it!!}
It's so fun seeing the kids get excited about them & look forward to them from year to year.

Up next...Christmas Day!
