Christmas morning got off to a slow start, which was very surprising for 4 little ones in the house!
Emma {therefore also david & i} had a rough night.
Being way overtired, along with bad dreams, made sleep difficult. :( Poor Baby.
Anyways, between her & Will who also slept late, we didn't get our morning started until after 9.
Then we had our own church service at home before we started opening presents,
which was a really great way to start the day!
Then it was time for presents!
These kids were so sweet & fun & all got SO many fun new toys!
{as you can see, Emma got some very cute & fun toys
AND sweet Clay was so sweet to help & watch her open her presents! precious!}
Owen excited about a new Hexbug
He's getting so big!
Emma's new doll with her very own "doggles!!"
If you remember from this summer, Emma had a slight obsession with any & all goggles.
Well, she still loves them & was so excited to have a doll with a pair just her size.
{Even if she does try to wear them as well!}
After the kids open presents, we ate breakfast {which was really more at lunch-time}
then let them have their stockings.
We got so wrapped up in playing with them & all their new toys,
it was after Emma went down for her nap that we hadn't exchanged our gifts
This year, to be different & to cut back,
we decided to have each adult buy a $5 stocking gift for each other person.
It proved to be challenging, but really fun & I think we have a new tradition!
That evening we spent time with the other side of the family, but I don't have a single picture!
It was great to be able to see both sides of the fam & enjoy the day!
It was a very Merry Christmas!
