We live in a great place. Yes, there are definitely many moments we wish to live somewhere more slow & quiet, and hope to do that one day. But we are beyond thankful for our home, church, friends, and the life we have here. And we've been talking about how we need to be better about taking advantage of all this area has to offer. So we decided to do a little of that on Saturday!
We loaded up {which always seems to take a lot longer these days!!} and headed to Dallas. David had heard something recently about the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, so we decided we should go check it out.
We ate a yummy lunch at Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse in the West End, then walked through the museum. We really enjoyed it & would recommend it to all your history-loving people out there. It was so interesting to learn more about JFK, his assassination & think about what that time must of been like.

There were no pictures allowed in the museum, but here's a few of us outside.
I love family field trip days!
What are your favorite DFW attractions? We might add them to our list!

Trinity Trails in Ft. Worth...it's free! And Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens...most of it is free and I like them better than the Dallas ones. Downtown Grapevine is fun for walking around or eating -- You can also walk around the Gaylord, but you have to pay for parking. And I love the Ft. Worth zoo and the Dallas Aquarium. Whew...that ended up being a lot. We're always looking for places to go, too, so let us know what else you find. :)
Fun family days, I love it! And they just get better with time! Oh, you are a great momma (and wife, I have no doubt!) and I just love that you enjoy each new adventure with Emma Grace. So sweet. And it's wise of you, because as you know, they grow so fast, and we will never get these moments back. So, okay then, enough of my sappy sad talk! :)
