David & I recently celebrated our 7th anniversary! Because of where we are in life {aka-a baby who can't be away from momma overnight quite yet} we decided to just embrace it & have a family overnight getaway to Great Wolf Lodge!
We surprised Emma after church and headed that way. The car was packed, so we could just go straight there! She was so cute & SO excited..even though she didn't really know what it was. We looked at some pictures & videos on the way so she would have a better idea.
We arrived, got check in & into our room {which was complete with her very own Wolf Den with BUNK BEDS! The "cave" was the best part of the whole trip for her, and I think she would have been happy to stay in the room the whole time! It was pretty crowded everywhere that day. We went to the waterpark for a while, but she is not a big fan or large crowds or lots of noise, so it wasn't the biggest hit that night.
Since it was close to Halloween, they were having Trick or Treating around the hotel, so after dinner she got dressed up & did that, which she loved.
Between playing in the room, and "exploring" around the hotel she would have been happy to do those two things the whole time!
Monday was a lot less crowded & she enjoyed the waterpark quite a bit more! Her & I went down first thing while the boys hung out in the room so Hudson could nap {he wasn't a big fan of the water...too cold, too big & too loud!}. There were very few people there yet, so it was a good warm up for her. We did the wave pool, lazy river & one of the bigger {not biggest} slides. And she was a little more convinced it was fun after that! ;) We met up with the boys & her & daddy had some play time.
Around lunch time she said she was "ready to go back to our house and play with Mickey." Ha! Doesn't take much to make her happy!
Overall, we had a great time & it was really nice to have a very mini family getaway!

Looks so fun! I love how much that girl loved just playing in the room! She is satisfied with so little and that is such a very good thing! :)
