Sunday was a great day! We had breakfast that morning, then loaded up on a bus & headed down to Limon for church. It was a really neat experience and we were all trying hard to pick up enough words to get through the service, and conversation with members. There were lots of laughs {and a few awkward moments} trying to stammer our way through conversations with the little Spanish that we know!
Annette & I went with the kids to "children's church." It was so fun to start interacting with the kids, and amazing to see how they were all so well behaved for an hour with NO "entertainment." They sat & sang, listened and read out of the bible. So different that what our kids are used to. The "teacher" was a precious girl, Ritzy, who I just fell in love with. She is only 13, but such a beautiful and smart girl is such a little leader with the kids at the church & school there. She taught those kids so sweetly, and could keep them in line like no other!
After church, we loaded back up in the bus & drove to the beach for lunch.
Our lunch...
The kitchen at the restaurant. A little different that what we are used to, huh!?
We had the option of: fish, shrimp, or fish & shrimp. Quite the menu!
The shrimp was delicious, and once we got over the fact that the fish was, in fact, an ENTIRE fish {eyeballs & all!}, we all really enjoyed it as well.
We had such a beautiful view, with mountain islands in the distance.
Back at the ML, we got everything unpacked & sorted for the week of working & VBS, and all enjoyed dinner, a little together time and a devo before getting to bed early to rest up for the hard week of work ahead of us.
