Miscellaneous Monday

I've got quite a few random pictures & stories to share today...so here we go...Miscellaneous Monday!

A few days ago I was ready Emma a Gossie book {we love Gossie!}, and in this particular book Gossie was looking for her bright red boots that were lost. We read it once, and as Emma often does, she asked to read it "again!" Sometimes we will read the same book five or six times in a row! The second time through I could see those wheels turning, and that she was really thinking about something. Once Gossie started to look for her boots, Emma jumped up & said "boots! daddy's!" and started off to go find her daddy's boots. I went to her closet to get out these {too big, but adorable} boots. She was very excited to have her very own bright red boots like Gossie & Daddy to wear around. She looks pretty cute if you ask me! :)

For Father's Day I dressed Emma up in some of David's clothes & took her picture. I framed this one & let her paint the frame. It was so cute & a big hit with her daddy!

This is what Emma wanted to wear one evening. She will love me for this picture, I know! :)

This girl loves corn! We laughed so hard at her this night. Once we got the corn off the grill & were getting it ready to eat, she said "orn" over & over & over in a very LOUD voice. She was so excited!

Emma loved walking around Backwoods wearing Bud's new fly fishing lanyard.

Big girl drinking out of a big girl cup. We still end up with a wet shirt or wet floor just about every time. She loves to get her snack or drink & go sit like this on the rug in the kitchen.

She also thought it was pretty fun to drink her milk out of the bowl after eating her cereal.

And who doesn't love getting to eat a snack on mommy & daddy's bed?

Last week we had VBS at church. On the last night we had Country Critters come with several animals. The kids love it because they get to get in the pen with the goats, sheep, chicken, & rabbit. Emma LOVED it! She followed one chicken around until she could get it cornered to pick it. She grabbed on & lifted it as she grunted {ha!}, then after a few seconds dropped it, along with two hand fulls of feathers. When she saw the feathers on the ground, she said "uh-oh!!" and tried to pick them up & put them back on the chicken. It was so funny & all the adults around we cracking up! Our sweet girl can be such a girly-girl at times, but is not afraid to get dirty or pick up a chicken.
Emma & her little buddies Addie & Kellen

Trying to brush her hair with the brush for the goats! Yuck!

One day last week I kept some friends kids for the day. It happened to be Emma little buddy Addie. These girls LOVE to play together. As you can see Addie has a broken arm that she broke a few weeks ago when we were over at their house for dinner, she was trying to show Emma how to jump on big brothers bed! Anyways...the other day they were so funny taking turns hiding in this little cabinet in Addie's room & opening the door for each other to play peek-a-boo. Emma & Addie go to play or see each other Sunday-Thursday last week & Emma occasionally will say "ah-ye, pway?" I love that she has a sweet little girl church buddy her same age!

I love all the pictures, but yes, the picture of her in her brown shoes and white socks just cracked me up! Plus so many others...she is such a little ham! But the chicken story still just makes me laugh!! She needs to go to bed early and come see me tomorrow! Love you!
