Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our FIRST anniversary! It is hard to believe how quickly this year has passed by. We enjoyed the weekend of a lot of rest and relaxation as well as quite a bit of reminiscing about the past year. On Friday evening we loaded up the car & drove to the little town of Boerne. I always love going to this sweet town, but this trip was especially special. My family has some good friends who are incredibly generous and share their beautiful vacation home with so many people. David & I had the amazing house to ourselves for the weekend and enjoyed every second of rest & relaxation.

Here's a little weekend wrap-up...

Friday we basically spent the evening in the car. Even though it was a long drive, we enjoyed the uninterrupted talking time.

Saturday we enjoyed sleeping in, drinking coffee, at watching the wildlife & the river. We decided to go into town & shop around for a little while and get some food to have around the house for the weekend. We would have loved to have spent more time in town but were anxious to get back and RELAX!

Saturday afternoon David did a little fly fishing while I took a nice nap in the hammock by the river. Wonderful! We had a nice candlelight dinner at the house.

Sunday we once again enjoyed sleep, coffee, and sitting on the deck taking in the beautiful morning. We relaxed all morning, then decided to kayak down to the bridge.

David had made reservations at a really nice restaurant at the edge of San Antonio. We got all dressed up and went to a wonderful, romantic, and very tasty dinner at The Vineyard.

Afterwards, we went back and enjoyed our taste of year-old cake! Yes, the icing was hard, but the inside was not half bad! Thanks, Meg! We enjoyed the day.


Monday we enjoyed our morning, cleaned up & left around noon. We headed to New Branfelds for the best fajitas ever. If you have never been to Los Cucos, you must find a time to go. They have wonderful food! Since we were in the area, we had to make a stop. We were sad for our weekend to be over, but enjoyed every second to the fullest!

I am so incredibly thankful for David & fall more in love with him each day. He is such a blessing to my life & a joy to me everyday. Here's to year number two!!
