Well, I don't really know where to begin...maybe with this picture!
This was our house on Friday morning..and it even snowed more after this picture was taken! It was breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL!

It started snowing on Thursday night. I woke up at about 2:30 am when our electricity went off. {Now, we have lost our power more since we have lived in this house than I have in my entire life! The week after we moved in here, there was a big storm & we were without power for almost a whole week. Being without power in the spring & summer is a completely different story than in the dead of winter with 10+ inches of snow on the ground! Also, adding a baby in the mix makes it a little {ok, a lot!} more difficult!}
We decided to get Emma & put her in bed with us {something we never do!} to make sure she was staying warm enough. We were hoping maybe it would be back on by morning, although when it went off I was pretty sure I heard a boom or snap or something-so we were really afraid it might be longer. The next morning we could see a line down in a house behind us.
And sure enough, no power. So David ventured out to get a few supplies at Wal-Mart to help keep us warm. We barricaded ourselves in the middle bedroom for the rest of the morning. We would light our propane lantern for a little while to get the room warm, then turn it off until we needed to re-heat. We hung out, stared at each other, and twiddled our thumbs a little. :)
